Sharon Rae Ewig, 72, of Conneautville passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at UPMC Hamot. She was born November 17, 1951 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Neil Alexander and Dorothy Eleanor (Herhuth) Curley. She married Lawrence Ray Ewig November 25, 1978. He passed away, July 7, 2024.
Sharon started her career at Conneaut Valley Elementary School as a teachers aide, where she met the love of her life, Larry. She then began her career at Rolling Fields Eldercare Center where she worked in the day care. It was there where Sharon touched the many lives of the children she cared for and the elders she encountered. She spent many hours teaching Sunday School, AWANA and assisting with the Conneaut Valley High School Marching band where she was lovingly dubbed, “A Mom to the Masses.” She was a lover of all animals large and small. She also was an avid Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan.
Left to cherish her memory is a son Danny and his wife April, five grandchildren; Jalen, Justice, Tristan, Breanna and Amelia, a sister: Janis Curley Antl two sisters-in-law; Linda (Dennis) Rote and Janet (Steve) Katulich as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister-in-law and her husband; Laurie and Tod Prenatt and a brother-in-law Dennis Ewig.
A Celebration of Life is to be held in the Spring of 2025
