Lawrence “Larry” Ray Ewig, 74, of Conneautville, passed away, Sunday, July 7, 2024 at Rolling Fields Eldercare Community. He was born May 5, 1950, in Meadville, PA to the late Otto Ray and Ruth Lelia (Hague) Ewig. He married Sharon Curley on November 25, 1978. She survives.
Larry retired from Erie Industrial Trucks Company as Service Technician in 2018. He was an avid lover of all things mechanical. More especially John Deere tractors and General Motors products. He was one of the early skilled mechanics at the Chevrolet dealer in Conneautville, PA and spent many years at Shear’s Drilling. Many people in the community will remember him as the custodian at Conneaut Valley Elementary which is where he met his wife, Sharon where she worked as teacher’s aide. He also enjoyed his many Saturdays’ working on the farm with his friend of 50 plus years, Jesse Haas. He also enjoyed hunting on his property with his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Sharon, a son Danny and his wife April, five grandchildren; Jalen, Justice, Tristan, Breanna and Amelia, two sisters; Linda (Dennis) Rote and Janet (Steve) Katulich as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister and her husband; Laurie and Tod Prenatt and a brother Dennis Ewig.
All services will be private.
