
Ethan David Mona (known as Pip to many) passed away on Mother’s Day May 11, 2025 in a tragic car accident in Meadville Pa. He was born February 6, 1996 in Baltimore, Maryland to Jeffrey Mona and Londa (Scott) Eells.
Ethan loved family and he was adored by all of his nieces and nephews. He loved people. If you met him you were his friend young and old alike. Ethan cherished his childhood on the farm with his sisters, cousins, buddies and the animals and dreamed of that for his own family one day.
Ethan was an avid outdoorsman. Fishing, hunting and camping were his passions. Cutting fire wood and helping others was his therapy. He enjoyed his work in tool and die and greatly appreciated his employer and co-workers at Marlan Tools, Meadville, Pa.
In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter Oaklynn Rein Mona due to arrive later this year and her mother Brianna Watt, stepchildren Myla and Harley, sisters Amanda (Mona) Burkey, Sarah Mona, Laura (Mona) Weaver, grandparents David and Carol Mona, Judy Mona and Arnold Lippert, Janet Scott, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He is proceeded in death by grandfather Chuck Scott.
Calling hours will be held Saturday May 17, 2025 from 2 PM to 5 PM at McCauley Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held on the family farm at a dedicated memorial site at the family’s convenience.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to a trust fund for his daughter Oaklynn Mona. Please make checks to Jeffrey Mona and sent to McCauley Funeral Home.
