
Dr. Clyde H. Faust Jr. passed away on November 28, 2024, at the age of 93, at his home, surrounded by the love of his life and several loved ones. Clyde was born on April 27, 1931 in Marion, OH. He is the son of Dr. Clyde H. Faust Sr. and Catherine Ruth (Wasson) Faust.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, his second mother Helen (Boyd, Hildreth) Faust, his grandparents, his brothers Roe Hildreth (Bud) and Robert Hildreth, his sisters Betty (Hildreth) Gorborick, Ruth (Faust) Keen, and Mary Claire (Faust) Merritt, his brothers-in-law Fred Merritt, James Brown, and Clay Keen.
He is survived by the love of his life, Loyce (Taylor) Faust, his sister Dorothy Ann (Faust) Brown, and his children, Nina (Ed) Joslin, Clyde H. Faust III, Elizabeth Faust, and Byron (Tina) Faust; along with 8 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Clyde joined his father in the family Chiropractic office in Conneautville, PA and was later joined by his grandson before he retired after about 65 years of practice in the Conneautville community and New Mexico.
Clyde was an avid fan of football. During football season you could find him watching college and professional games. He also served as the Conneaut Valley High School football team’s doctor for several years in the 70’s and early 80’s. He graduated from Conneautville High School in 1949 and went on to attend Edinboro University before enlisting in the United States Marine Corps. After his enlistment he attended the National Chiropractic college in Chicago.
Clyde was an active member of the Valley United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir, but mostly made trouble in the back row with his best friend, Ted Gibson. Clyde’s family loved celebrating Christmas Eve and getting to listen to him read, “Twas the Night Before Christmas”. Clyde had a way of making everyone in his life feel loved and special, aside from his children and grandchildren, his wife, Loyce, was the love of his life.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday December 4, 2024 from 12-2 PM with a service immediately following at the Valley United Methodist Church, located at 1118 Main St. Conneautville, PA 16406 with Pastor John Phipps officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Valley United Methodist Church 118 Main St. Conneautville or the Conneaut Valley Alumni Association at 103 Plateau Dr. Conneautville, PA 16406.
